Join volunteers who knit squares which are sewn together to make warm wraps to be sent all over the world to provide warmth and comfort to those suffering extreme cold. In the past 18 years we have sent more than 250,000 wraps to people in over 75 countries, including Australia, often after natural disasters. We have a wide network of area contacts and drop-off points.
We are men with time on our hands who would like something meaningful to do. We might be restoring furniture, fixing bicycles for a local school, fixing lawn mowers or making a kids cubby house for Camp Quality to raffle. There might be a few young men working with the older men learning new skills and maybe also learning something about life. There are tea-bags, coffee cups and a comfortable area where men can sit and talk. We can also learn to cook and to how contact our families by computer.
